Others carry quiet ones. <br/>This beautiful 1-year-old male, neutered Spaniel cross may not have many demands, but after spending two months surviving on the streets, what he longs for most is something he's likely never truly had—a person to call his own.<br/>He is one of those rare dogs with a gentle, old soul. Calm, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. His greatest happiness is simply being beside you. Whether you're working, reading, watching TV, or heading out for a drive, he's content just knowing he's safe and with the person he loves.<br/>Rook is wonderfully easy to live with. He's fully house trained, crate trained, sleeps quietly in his crate all night, rides beautifully in the car, and walks wonderfully on leash. New places can still make him a little nervous, which is completely understandable considering his past, but with reassurance from his person, his confidence continues to grow.<br/>He's a polite companion with everyone he meets. He gets along well with other easygoing, well-mannered dogs and would happily share his home with a calm canine friend. He's also respectful of cats. We've yet to hear him bark, though he may give a little whine if you leave the room for a few minutes—he simply loves being close to his people.<br/>Rook's ideal home is one where someone is home most of the time, works from home, is retired, or can even take him along to work. After fending for himself for so long, he's earned the chance to be part of someone's everyday life.
