Roo's Story
Roo may be tiny, but her story is mighty. Born in September, this little nugget found herself all alone in the shelter at only three weeks old — no mama, no siblings, just a whole lot of bravery packed into one teeny body. Thankfully rescue swooped in, gave her a soft landing, and at 8 weeks old she came bouncing over to Rise to find her forever people!

Now? Roo is basically a walking serotonin machine.

She’s a Dachshund–Yorkie–Terrier-ish mystery blend, which is scientific speak for: adorable from every angle. We expect her to stay on the petite side — around 15 pounds of pure joy when she’s all grown up.

Roo’s personality is just as charming as her looks. She’s:
- Sweet as can be
- Great with other dogs
- Unbothered by our resident cat (who has opinions about everyone, so this is a big win)
- Curious, playful, and always up for a cuddle break

Because she’s still a baby, Roo is looking for a family who will help her keep growing into the confident, social butterfly she’s meant to be. Puppy training, adventures, lots of positive experiences — she’s here for it all.

Important note: Roo will be placed on a foster-to-adopt basis since she’s still too young to be spayed. We will have her spayed at 6 months old, and her adoption will be finalized then.

If you’re ready for a tiny sidekick with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for cuteness, Roo would love to hop into your home…and probably into your lap immediately.

Apply to adopt Roo at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog
