Meet Ron

Ron & his "sister", Ginny, showed up at their rescuer's work shop. Ron kept sneaking inside to sit next to the machinery to be close to his new hero.

With a guesstimated birthday in Feb. 2023, Ron weighed 37 lb at his neuter in June 2023.

Ron is house-trained when kept on a regular schedule. He's comfortable in a 42" crate and will sleep peacefully all night, once the household goes to bed. If he hears someone still up, he will vocalize in hopes that they'll let him out to love on them. He must go out as soon as the household wakes, so should be a priority for a potty break.

Ron is leash-savvy and loves other dogs. He has become very interested in the cats at his foster home. When not playing with his doggy friends, he'll sit and stare at them. When given access, he'll sniff, then ignore.

Ron is a sturdy boy and has a sweet "houndy" vocalization. He isn't noisy in the house, but if left unsupervised in the yard will sing to the neighbors.

**********

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

For adult dogs, our adoption fee covers a standard canine vaccine, a rabies vaccine, and deworming if recommended by our vet. Adult dogs will also have current heartworm test. For puppies over the age of 14 weeks, our adoption fee covers the first 3 puppy vaccines. If the puppy is still in our care at 16 weeks, we will also provide the rabies vaccine.

A vet reference is required only if you are adopting an intact dog over 6 months of age (or the age our attending veterinarian recommends for spay/neuter) to ensure future altering of the dog. A refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for intact dogs/puppies.

Open Adoption Events for Foster Dogs are held on most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Open Adoption Events for Bunch Anderson Shelter Dogs are held every Saturday from noon-4:00 p.m. Please check our FB page for changes in Adoption Event Schedules.
