Rollie's Story

In a home, he's incredibly chill-he loves lounging, following his person around, and soaking up attention.

He's great with other dogs and enjoys having a playful companion. He has shown some barrier frustration in a kennel setting and can react to unfamiliar people if pushed too quickly.

Both of his previous homes shared that he was a dream day-to-day-but situations involving guests or high energy environments were where things fell apart.

Because of this, Rollie needs:
A calm, structured home
Clear boundaries and leadership
Slow, intentional introductions to new people
An owner who will advocate for him and not put him in situations he's not ready for

The right fit:
Rollie would do best in an adult or teen (13+) home that understands sensitive dogs. He thrives with routine and predictability and does best when he knows what's expected of him.

A confident dog in the home would be a bonus, but not required.

He is not the kind of dog who will instantly love every stranger-and that's okay. In the right home, with the right expectations, Rollie is an incredibly rewarding companion.

Bottom line:
Rollie isn't a "take everywhere, love everyone immediately" dog.
But he is a loyal, loving, funny, easy-to-live-with dog who will absolutely be someone's heart dog.

He just needs someone willing to meet him where he's at

Rebel Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
At Rebel Animal Rescue, we believe in keeping adoption as simple and welcoming as possible. Instead of strict, one-size-fits-all requirements, we focus on open conversations with potential adopters. We want to learn about your home, lifestyle, and any challenges you might face, and work together on solutions that set you and your new pet up for success. The adoption process starts with a short application, which we review to make sure the match could be a good fit. From there, we arrange a meet-and-greet with your entire family—and for dog adoptions, your resident dogs too. If everyone feels good about the match, we encourage a one-week trial period. This gives you time to see how your new pet settles in. At the end of the week, we’ll finalize the adoption if it’s working out—or welcome the animal back if it’s not the right fit. Our goal is to find loving, lasting homes while keeping the process as stress-free as possible for both you and the animal.
