Rogue's Story
? Meet Rogue! ?
Hi there — I’m Rogue, a 7-month-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger cuddle quota! We got our DNA test done by the rescue and I am mostly a mix of Staffordshire and Doberman. I’ll probably weigh around 65–75 lbs once I’m fully grown.

? About Me
I’m a sweet, sensitive guy who loves my people deeply — my foster mom calls me a “velcro puppy” because I like to be right by your side (especially if it means cuddles under the blanket!). My favorite thing in the world is snuggling close and resting my head on your chest.

I can be a little shy at first and might bark or growl when I’m nervous, but I warm up quickly with patience — and treats! I’m very food-motivated, gentle when taking treats, and love learning new things. Once I trust you, I’ll show you my goofy, affectionate side.

? My Dog Friends
I do well with most dogs after proper introductions!
? I get along best with female dogs and smaller, energetic pups — my best friend is a chihuahua mix, another Hazel's House foster named Bonita!
? I don’t do well with dominant, “humpy” males, overbearing females, or intact dogs.
Dog parks aren’t my thing, but I love sniff spots, pack walks, and small, structured playgroups at daycares that manage dogs carefully (my foster mom works at one, so I’ve had lots of practice!).

? Training & Skills
I’ve made amazing progress since leaving my litter — I used to struggle with “sibling syndrome,” but my foster mom worked hard to build my confidence.
I know sit, lie down, stay, leave it, and I’m mostly potty trained (just a few oops moments here and there). I’m learning that kennels are a safe space — I eat my meals in mine and sleep there at night.

I walk nicely on leash and do best when I have a little space from strangers and dogs. I even have a “Do Not Pet — I’m Nervous” patch and a muzzle that I’ve been trained to wear comfortably for extra safety and confidence in new situations.

? My Ideal Home
I’d love a calm, low-traffic home with patient humans who understand sensitive dogs.

I’d do best with older, respectful kids (younger ones make me anxious).

I’m used to farm life and do great around cats, small dogs, and big animals — though I give horses plenty of space!

I’m not an outdoor-only dog — I want to be part of the family, but I do love fenced yard zoomies!

I don’t try to dig or jump fences, but loud noises like fireworks or thunder can scare me.

? In My Own Words
I might not be a “unicorn dog,” but I’m loyal, loving, and ready to be someone’s best friend. I’ve come so far, and my foster mom says she’s proud of how brave I’ve become. If you’re looking for a devoted companion to hike with, snuggle with, and grow with — I might be your guy.

Please reach out if you’d like to meet me — I can’t wait to find my forever family!

? Love, Rogue
Adoption fee is $300. He is fixed, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and had a wellness exam
