Rodeo's Story

Meet Rodeo! â ̃€ï ̧

Looking for a big, lovable goofball who’s full of heart and eager to connect? Meet Rodeo—one of our incredible deaf dogs, and truly a one-of-a-kind companion.

Rodeo is an extra-large cuddle machine with a playful spirit and a huge love for his people. While he may not be able to hear, he communicates beautifully using hand signals and a vibrating collar. He already knows Heel, Stop, Sit, and Come, and he’s always ready to learn more with someone who’s patient, kind, and willing to meet him where he’s at.

This sweet boy recently lived in a home with a 3-year-old child and two other dogs. His former adopters adored him and said he was absolutely amazing. Sadly, due to life circumstances, they had to return him—through no fault of his own. But Rodeo continues to shine with his resilient, affectionate nature.

Since coming back to the Ranch, Rodeo has been reunited with his best friend Lydia, and together they are the ultimate feel-good duo. Lydia, a three-legged sweetheart, seems to share an unspoken bond with Rodeo—they just get each other. Whether it’s Lydia gently nudging Rodeo awake for playtime or the two simply hanging out side-by-side, their friendship is something truly special. While they don’t have to be adopted together, we’d love to see them go to a home as a pair.

And let’s not forget Rodeo’s adorable quirks—he loves carrying around his special blanket wherever he goes, and one of his absolute favorite things in the world is napping in the sun. Just give him a warm patch of sunshine and his blanket, and he’s in heaven. â ̃€ï ̧

If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, affectionate, and completely unforgettable pup (or two!) into your life, Rodeo is waiting to meet you—with Lydia happily by his side.

Call the Ranch today to set up a visit—you might just meet your perfect match.

Read Rodeo's Dog of the Week post here:

https://rrdog.org/dw/rodeo-2/

To learn more about Rodeo, check out these articles:

https://rrdog.org/two-lonely-special-needs-dogs-pair-up-and-become-best-pals-ever/

https://rrdog.org/deaf-pets-have-special-needs-would-you-give-a-deaf-rescue-dog-a-chance/

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
