Meet Rocky Balboa <br/><br/>Rocky didn't start life as a stray.<br/><br/>At one point, he was someone's pet. Someone knew him. Maybe even loved him. But somewhere along the way, Rocky was failed, and he was left to survive on his own.<br/><br/>When we found him, he was covered in wounds from life on the streets, clearly fighting just to make it another day.<br/><br/>But somehow, Rocky's heart stayed soft.<br/><br/>Despite everything he has been through, he is one of the gentlest, sweetest boys you could ever meet. He loves people, soaks up affection from everyone he meets, and greets other dogs with a wagging tail and a polite sniff. No aggression. No toughness. Just a good boy who wants to be loved.<br/><br/>Rocky enjoys walks, does well on a leash, and absolutely loves rolling in warm grass with the sun on his face. He is kennel trained, keeps his space clean, and has learned a good routine for going outside after meals.<br/><br/>He is still a little unsure about car rides and may bark at unfamiliar noises, but who can blame him? Rocky is still learning that the world can be safe.<br/><br/>While his foster absolutely adores him, he also knows Rocky deserves a full family of his very own... one that can give him even more love, time, and attention than he is able to give. How lucky is Rocky to have SUCH a selfless gentleman looking after him while he waits for his forever home? <br/><br/>Rocky Balboa is approximately 2 years old, around 50 pounds, neutered, and has already started heartworm treatment.<br/><br/>Interested in adopting? Who Rescued Who's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters should fill out an application at www.wrwtx.org. A rescue representative will then contact you to request veterinary records for current pets. We require that all pets in the household be up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm prevention, and spayed/neutered. If your application is approved you will be able to schedule a meet and greet. We have a two week trial adoption period to ensure the placement is the right fit for both you and the pet.
