Meet Rocky, a 1-year-old Dachshund/Beagle/Chihuahua mix (or at least that’s our best guess!) with a fun personality and a unique look to match. Weighing about 24 pounds, Rocky is roughly the size of a Beagle but with a slightly longer body—giving him that extra dose of charm.<br/><br/>Rocky came to the shelter after living out in the country where he had a habit of wandering onto the road. His previous owner was worried for his safety, so now he’s looking for a home where he can stay safe and secure.<br/><br/>He’s a friendly, easygoing guy who gets along well with other dogs. We think he would do well with kids, especially if they are calm and give him a little time to get comfortable. Rocky keeps his kennel clean, which is a great sign that he should transition well to potty training in a home environment.<br/><br/>He’s currently working on leash training and making good progress. With a little consistency, he’ll catch on quickly.<br/><br/>Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a family to call his own.
