Rocky's Story

Meet Rocky- The handsome hunk with a heart of gold!

If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a big personality, an even bigger smile, and enough love to fill a lifetime, Rocky is your guy.

Rocky is an American bulldog who has spent more than 4 years waiting in a shelter for someone to see the incredible dog we all know and love. Through it all, he has never lost his zest for life. He greats his favorite people with a wagging tail, a playful spirit, and a smile that can brighten even the toughest days.

To help Rocky succeed, he is looking for a home where he can be the ONLY pet. He would do best in a home with no young children (12 years and older), an adopter with American Bulldog experience, a secure fenced yard, and a commitment to providing continued training, structure, and mental stimulation. Rocky thrives when he has clear guidance, activities to keep his mind engaged, and strong bond with his people.

After spending over 4 years in a kennel environment, Rocky deserves so much more. He deserves a couch to call his own, a yard to explore, and a family who will love him for the dog he is.

2nd Chance to Shine's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible match between each dog and their future family. Interested adopters begin by completing a pre-application, which helps us understand their lifestyle, experience, and what they’re looking for in a dog. From there, we schedule a phone interview to discuss expectations, answer questions, and ensure a good fit. Approved applicants are then invited to a meet-and-greet with the dog, allowing both the adopter and the dog to interact in a comfortable setting. If all goes well, we move forward with finalizing the adoption, prioritizing safe, loving, and lasting placements.
