Rocket's Story

Rocket is a fantastic little guy who is already a wonderful companion. He weighs 16 pounds. He is very sweet, playful, great in the car, takes treats nicely, housebroken and sleeps through the night. He knows to sit, come and is working on down. Don't adopt Rocket if you want to do household chores or yard work all by yourself, he will want to be right there providing moral support. Also don't adopt him if you prefer walking around your house by yourself because he makes a great little shadow. He is also a great cuddler/snuggler and loves to be in bed with you under the covers. He lives with 3 dogs/1 cat in his foster home. He needed a very slow introduction to them at first but now it's as if he's lived with them his whole life, especially loving their springer spaniel who is the only one who will play with him and can keep up with him. Rocket would probably love a home with a playful doggy friend that would also help him adjust to his new home. As a young JRT he will need a good amount of mental and physical stimulation, but he also doesn't need to be your running partner to keep him happy. He is very smart, and a joy to live with, and to travel with. He wasn't very well socialized as a young puppy and because of this, he needs a minute and some treats when meeting new people. And he'll need slow intros to new dogs. Because of his young age and trainability, we feel he will continue to blossom in his new home, he only needs his new people to show him the way.

Rocket is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. He is with foster family while he searches for his forever family. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on appropriate vaccines. If you think she may be the perfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available online at

Pet Pantry of Lancaster - Rescue's Adoption Policy
Before taking home your furry friends, we require you to fill out an adoption application. This application asks you questions about your household so we can make recommendations towards the pet that may be the best fit for you and your family. We do also require a veterinary reference on other animals that you have in your household. You may fill out an application prior to choosing a furry friend so that you are "pre-approved" to adopt when you find the purrfect pet, or you can submit an application for a pet you've already fallen in love with. If you choose to fill the form out for someone specific, provided there wasn't an application submitted prior to yours, we will place the animal on hold until we are able to process your application.
