SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Rocket is a beautiful, sweet, loving fellow. However, he was unpredictable in his last home and has bitten. Moving forward, our goal is to find Rocket a home in which he can have quiet consistency which seems to be what he needs most. Rocket is best suited to an all adult home, where visitors are infrequent. An experienced, alpha owner will best read his subtle cues and provide appropriate re-direction, and if needed, training to help him gain confidence in situations that challenge his comfort. Rocket will be best served as an only pet. He bonds well with his owner and is a true love bug.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
