Rocket's Story

Having existed with humans for eons, Carolina Dogs, also known as Native American Indian Dogs, are valued by their adopters for the strong bond formed with their human(s) as well as their quiet primitive nature. They seldom bark. However, if pressed once in a bonded home, they will alert bark. They thrive with canina sociability, often doing best when there are other dogs in the household. They are great companions for those active in the out of doors. They enjoy toys and play. Once fully comfortably acclimated and secure in a home there is an innate confidence that comes from those eons of independent/dependent coexistence with humans. Just a hint of intrigue.

Rocket is a young dog, handsome, and yes that is a sectoral heterochromia eye you are seeing (one of his eyes is half blue and half brown). Rocket is very true to the breed. He must be given time to bond before he will be totally comfortable in a household. He needs to be acclimated with a good routine. We also have Rocket's brother Drax, with an option to adopt both. These dogs in general are most comfortable in a household with other dogs -- part of their pack heritage. Whereas the videos with this posting mostly talks about his brother Drax, Rocket is of the same nature.

It is expected that the house training of these dogs will need to be re-visited with structure as they settle into a household
