Rock's Story

**Meet Rock!**

At about 6 years old and 91 pounds, Rock is a gentle giant with a heart every bit as big as he is. This handsome Pit Bull/Lab mix has absolutely no idea how big he is—and that's part of his charm! Rock firmly believes every couch has room for him and every lap is the perfect place to curl up. During the recent heat wave, when we spent more time indoors with him, we discovered that he's truly an elite cuddler. Think of him as your very own oversized weighted blanket!

Rock has never met a stranger. Every person and every dog is simply another friend waiting to happen. His sweet, easygoing personality makes him a favorite with everyone he meets. Rock came to rescue from a shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia, and he seems to appreciate every moment of his second chance. He takes every treat with gratitude, enjoys stopping to sniff every interesting spot on his walks, and approaches life with an infectious joy that reminds you to appreciate the little things.

Rock is house-trained and loves spending time with his people. He would thrive in a home where he can be included in the family's adventures and, of course, soak up plenty of affection. He does wonderfully with other dogs and adores people. We are unsure how he does with cats or young children, but we're happy to perform cat and kid testing for interested adopters.

Rock is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment with our amazing veterinary partners at VCA Darien. Lucky Dog Refuge will cover the full cost of his treatment. All Rock needs now is a family ready to love him while he finishes his journey to a healthy, happy life.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and happily double as your personal weighted blanket, Rock is ready to fill that role. All he needs now is his forever family.

Petfinder inquiries will not be seen.

Direct link for application:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeU6eaT2iuiVIh1drpbr3DaeINNSs5z9MKV4DwY7SRt4XEUSg/viewform?usp=send_form

Lucky Dog Refuge's Adoption Policy
Generally, puppies and adult dogs have an adoption fee of $600; senior dogs have an adoption fee of $350. However some dogs may have a higher adoption fees based on the extent of their training or other factors. We also may have "legacy dogs" whose higher fee help offset the medical costs of some of our emergency cases. Fees are set at the discretion of the rescue. The adoption fees covers only a portion of the expense the rescue spends on the medical care, housing, and transport of each rescue dog; the rest is covered through fundraising efforts. - The first step towards adoption is to complete an adoption application, which can be found online at our website www.LuckyDogRefuge.com, under the “Apply Now” tab or at https://forms.gle/LXKMKSnagxLSad668. - Do NOT use the Petfinder links or email to ask us about our adoptable dog listings - we do not always receive these messages and will not respond to them.
