Rocco's Story

ROCCO - AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION/ FOSTER TO ADOPT

Rocco is a 2-year-old, 55 lb Mountain Cur mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He just needs a little time to show it. Shy at first, Rocco blossoms into a total cuddle bug once he feels safe. He loves to jump up to give you a soft “hug” and curl up beside you for a cozy nap.
This sweet boy is low energy and happiest in a calm, predictable environment. He enjoys the simple things in life: lounging by the window, car rides, tasty treats (especially beef sticks and liver!), and quiet snuggles on the couch or in bed. Toys aren’t really his thing, though he’ll occasionally carry his ball around just for fun.
Rocco would thrive in a peaceful home with another low-energy dog to help guide him and build his confidence. Having a canine companion is important for him. He’s incredibly gentle and kind with other pups, but high-energy dogs can overwhelm him.
Due to his sensitive nature, Rocco is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. He can be nervous around loud noises, strangers, and busy environments like traffic or bikes. On walks, he’s more fearful than reactive and prefers to keep his distance from unfamiliar people.
A few additional things to know about Rocco:
• Best suited for an adult home or one with calm, quiet children (7+)
• Would benefit from a fenced yard, as he enjoys frequent outdoor breaks
• Not crate trained, though he’s comfortable in one and does well free-roaming
• Has not been around cats, but he doesn’t have a pray drive toward small animals
• Would benefit from a consistent routine to build confidence and structure
With patience, love, and consistency, you’ll get to watch Rocco grow into the loyal, affectionate best friend he’s meant to be! If you’re looking for a gentle, quiet companion and are willing to give Rocco the time he needs to truly shine, he’s waiting for you.
Apply to adopt Rocco today and change his life forever!
✨ Fully vetted
✨ Up to date on vaccinations
✨ Neutered
✨ Heartworm negative
🚩 Adoption Application /Foster to Adopt: https://forms.gle/SDTy2v32RnViKk4j8
