ROCCO's Story

This friendly boy is great with other dogs and cats! Previously an indoor-only dog, he is house trained and waits patiently by the door to go out. He was crated 8–10 hours a day. He can be a bit of a destructive chewer when left alone (especially pillows), and he loves big bones and ripping the stuffing out of toys. He knows sit, enjoys baths, walks, and playing fetch, and is a total cuddle bug who loves sleeping next to you. Note: he tends to pull on the leash, so a harness or training may help

Special arrangements may need to be made for out of area adopters so please call ahead to discuss. 931-526-3647 Our regular adoption hours are Monday, Friday and Saturday from 12-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 12-6pm. We are closed on Wednesday(temporary effective 12/3/25) and Sunday. Adopters are encouraged to bring their other dogs to meet any dog they are interested in adopting prior to adoption. Adopters must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government issued photo ID. Cash or check only Puppies under 5 months old--$200. Dogs 5 months and older adoption fees--$170 Kittens under 5 months old adoption fees--$125 Cats 5 months and older adoption fees $105 Adoption fees include: Spay/Neuter Up to date age appropriate vaccinations-must be at least 12 weeks to receive rabies vaccination Heartworm testing for dogs 6 months old and over Microchip and registration Animals that are already sterilized will go home with the adopter same day. Animals requiring sterilization surgery will remain at the shelter until their surgery appointment. Adopter will pick up their animal from the veterinarian after surgery.
