Rocco's Story

Meet Rocco — a 14-year-old, 22 lb gentleman with a heart as big as his love for naps.

This sweet senior boy has settled into home life like a pro. He's housebroken, sleeps soundly through the night, and is perfectly content lounging on the couch while you're away. Rocco is calm, easygoing, and friendly with everyone he meets — the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people.

While he's not a fan of being picked up, he absolutely loves companionship and will happily stay close by your side. He's more into cozy naps than toys or roughhousing, and he takes his relaxation very seriously!

Rocco enjoys walks, fresh air, and car rides with the window down so he can feel the breeze on his face. He does well with smaller dogs and may bark at larger dogs on walks, but never aggressively.

This handsome little guy is also a foodie at heart. Because he recently had several teeth removed during a dental procedure, he's currently enjoying wet food along with soft treats, baked sweet potato, peanut butter, and his absolute favorite — chicken! He politely supervises meal prep in hopes you might share a bite or two.

He's been wonderfully behaved in the house, free-roaming without getting into trouble, even when left alone. Crates? Not interested. Couches? Absolutely.

Rocco recently had a full vet checkup and is finishing up antibiotics and eye drops like a champ.

If you're looking for a calm, loving companion with soulful eyes, impeccable manners, and endless affection to give, Rocco may just be your perfect match.
