Roamer's Story
Roamer was found as a stray by animal control. He was found in really rough shape. He was found skinny, fur was all matted and smelling pretty yeasty. His ear had a pretty severe infection. They had to sedate him to get all the matted fur off. He was treated for those issues while he was at the shelter. He spent 1.5 months there with no one interested in him before he came to our rescue.

Roamer can be nervous at first but will open up pretty quickly. He can be more trusting of women vs men. He does well with other dogs as long as they dont try to start things with him. If they do, he does try to stick up for himself. He was evaluated by a behaviorist/dog trainer and she had nothing but good things to say about him. He was in doggy day care with 40 plus dogs and did really well.

Roamer would love a home with adults where they know how to be respectful of him. No small children for him. He knows a few commands: sit, paw, smile. He is potty trained and knows how to use a dog door. He does have arthritis so pain meds and joint supplements are a must for him.

He's a very friendly dog even though he's been going through. He would love a retirement home where he has a yard to lounge around in and someone who has the time to take him on walks and offer mental stimulation as well.

To schedule a meet + greet or to learn more about him text or email 385.244.0431 info@goldenbarkfoundtion.org
