Ro's Story

Meet Ro!

Ro is a handsome 2-year-old, 55 lb Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler mix who came to the shelter as a stray and is now searching for a forever family of his own.

Ro is a people dog through and through. He loves being around his humans, has done great with children, and would much rather be by your side than hanging out alone in the yard. If you leave him outside while you’re nearby, don’t be surprised when he comes looking for you!

He already has some great manners. Ro walks nicely on a leash, knows "sit," is crate trained, and may already be house trained. If he needs a refresher, we think he’ll pick it up quickly with a consistent routine.

Ro also loves car rides and loads right up, ready to see where you’re headed next. He’s perfectly content accompanying you on an outing and then settling beside you to people-watch. Whether you’re taking a walk, grabbing a bite to eat, stopping for a pup cup, or heading out on a road trip, Ro is happy just being included.

At the shelter, Ro hasn’t shown much interest in making canine friends and may be happiest as the only dog in his home. What he really seems to want is a person or family to call his own.

Ro still has some youthful energy, but he’s settling nicely into adulthood and has a wonderful combination of companionship and adventure to offer.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, road-trip buddy, and best friend who genuinely wants to be wherever you are, come meet Ro. He may be exactly who you’ve been looking for.
