RJ

RJ is here through no fault of his own. RJ is 3.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is 54 pounds and unfortunately heartworm positive. RJ came in with Birdie so we know he likes female dogs so far. This guy looks so sad in the shelter but we have had multiple volunteers tell us how sweet he is. One volunteer last week said:<br/><br/>"RJ is a a total sweetheart! This sweet boy is very nervous being at the shelter and won’t be the dog who greets you at his kennel. You’ll find him tucked in the corner, curled in a ball trying to disappear. However, if you sit with him and give him all the pets, he’ll warm up to you and show you those sweet puppy dog eyes. He is very affectionate and might even try to sit on your lap! He’s a little unsure of the outside world at the moment, but with a little encouragement he’ll walk right along side you. He walks great on a leash and will stick right by your side, but load noises and fast movement make him a little skittish. I have no doubt that with a little time and lots of love, RJ will be the best companion to a lucky person/family!"<br/><br/>RJ is $60 to adopt.
