This happy little guy is full of love and is always ready to make a new friend, whether they have two legs or four.<br/><br/>River absolutely LOVES other dogs and has been such a social butterfly that he happily shared his kennel with new dog friends at the shelter. He would love a home with another playful pup, but he would also be thrilled to soak up all the attention as your one and only.<br/><br/>When it comes to people, River is as sweet as they come. He even is great with kids! He craves affection, loves being part of the action, and is happiest when he's getting pets, playing, or simply hanging out with his favorite humans. His cheerful personality and loving nature make him an easy dog to fall in love with.<br/><br/>From River's foster:<br/>"River is a great dog!! He's a winner for sure. He is great with other dogs, new people, and even kids! I hosted a fathers day brunch at my house and he was with kids 3 years to 8 years old and did amazing with them all. He's a sweet guy!!! Working on potty training still, but his perfect personality makes up for that little bit of work left to do. I make sure to reward him with a high quality (freeze dried) treat when he potties outside!"<br/><br/>At just 14 pounds, River is the perfect size for adventures big and small. Whether its neighborhood walks, playtime with doggy friends, or cuddling up on the couch after a busy day, River is ready to be your loyal sidekick.<br/><br/>We'd like to place River in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area.<br/><br/>River is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered.<br/><br/>Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.<br/><br/>Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out 400 dogs each year.<br/><br/>Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup.
