Ripley's Story

Ripley is a handsome cream-colored boy with cream-and-tan ears, a little adorable scruff, and an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around!

Now around 4.5–5 months old and weighing approximately 45–50 pounds, Ripley is already a big guy! We estimate he may grow to around 60–75 pounds full grown, although his final size is not guaranteed. His mama, Raven, appears to be a German Shepherd mix with possible Poodle or similar breed ancestry, and we suspect his dad may have been a Lab or similar breed. Several of the puppies have that Shepherd-Lab look, with some having a little extra scruff that could hint at some Doodle-type ancestry. Their exact breed mixes are unknown.

Personality-wise, Ripley is a sweetheart. He is kind, gentle, happy-go-lucky, and wonderfully easygoing. He has a moderate energy level and tends to go with the flow, taking new experiences in stride. He is affectionate, loves giving kisses, and is surprisingly polite for a puppy his age! With his gentle nature and people-friendly personality, Ripley could potentially make a wonderful therapy dog candidate after completing his puppyhood, basic obedience training, and any additional training required.

Ripley and his six siblings were rescued in mid-July after being found abandoned off Rockwell Road alongside their mama, Raven. Since then, he has been raised in foster care with other dogs, cats, and children and has done well with them. He has received lots of positive socialization and is getting a wonderful start toward becoming a well-rounded family companion.

Ripley has completed his veterinary care and is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his age-appropriate vaccinations, including four DHPP vaccines, Bordetella, and rabies. He has also been dewormed multiple times, had a negative fecal test, and received routine monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite preventatives. He has been examined and cleared for adoption by his veterinarian and is ready to find his forever family!

Interested in adopting Ripley?
