Rio's Story

This lovable giant is ready to find his forever family! At around 3 years old and 120–130 pounds, this neutered boy is a big sweetheart with an even bigger heart. He has been raised in a home environment and is very much a house dog — not a livestock guardian dog — and he loves being part of the family.

One of his favorite things in the world is kids! He absolutely adores them and has a gentle, easygoing personality to match. He also does well with other dogs and is mostly indifferent to cats. Despite his size, he’s not a big barker and has nice leash manners when out and about.

He already knows several commands including sit, paw, and lay down, and he LOVES going for car rides. Whether it’s a quick trip for a pup cup or a family adventure, he’s always ready to hop in and go.

A fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play would be wonderful, but it’s not a requirement for the right home. More than anything, he’s looking for a family who will love him as much as he’ll love them. If you’re searching for a loyal, gentle, family-friendly companion, this handsome boy may be your perfect match!
