Meet Riley!<br/><br/>Riley is a 10-year-old toy poodle with a sweet, spicy personality and a very clear philosophy on life: she likes to do things on her own terms. Now settling into life as an Upper East Side girlie, she’s learning that the world can be a pretty fun place when she’s given the time and space to take it all in.<br/><br/>Riley can be sensitive when meeting new people or entering new environments, so she does best with slow, respectful introductions. She’s good at communicating when she needs a little space, and once she starts to feel comfortable, her playful, affectionate, and wonderfully spunky personality comes out.<br/><br/>Her absolute favorite activity is fetch. Give Riley a ball and she is ready to go. She loves being outside, especially exploring parks on leash or getting some freedom in an enclosed dog run, and her confidence continues to grow with every outing. She’s fully housebroken, easy to walk around the city, and also does wonderfully when left home alone.<br/><br/>Riley is extremely food motivated, which has been a great tool for helping her learn and build trust. She prefers to enjoy her meals in her own quiet space away from other dogs or people, and she’s working on polite manners around treats and toys.<br/><br/>She can get along well with other dogs who respect her boundaries and is often curious about saying hello on walks. She would do best in an adult-only home with someone who understands that the best relationships sometimes take a little time to build.<br/><br/>At home, Riley loves curling up in her dog bed and keeping her person company. She’d make an excellent work-from-home companion: a tiny pocket princess who is independent enough to do her own thing but happy to be part of your day.<br/><br/>Riley isn’t looking to rush into anything.
