Meet Riko
Riko came to HHR by way of a high-volume GA shelter where his time was running out. Riko is a silly, playful, energetic boy that loves to run and play. Riko is more friendly than the average Akita, but still has the that aloof air of magic about him. He requires a home with Akita experience (or experience with chows, shar peis, etc). Riko would be best suited for an adult home but we would consider a home with children who have breed experience. Riko does the best with female dogs and has had limited exposure with males but has done very well with the ones he has met at our rescue.
Riko is about 2-3 years old and weights 80 lbs. He is neutered; vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and bordetella; microchipped; and recently tested negative for heartworm and tick diseases. Riko is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
