Ricky's Story

Hi there! My name is Ricky, sometimes referred to as Ricky Taquito! I'm an 8lbs, senior chihuahua looking for a place to call home. I was saved from euthanasia at a big shelter, after I was found roaming the streets as a stray. Although my history is unknown, I have adjusted to the inside-life quite well.

I'm a very sweet boy who loves cuddles, scratches, zoomies, naps and a good stroll-n-sniff. I haven't taken a liking to leash training, so I will need a fenced-in backyard where I can explore and potty. Speaking of potty, I picked up on the training almost immediately! I rarely have accidents inside and I'm a very neat little boy.

I would do well in a home with or without other pets, as I get along with my neighbor pups in our shared backyard, but I currently reside as the only pup in my foster home. I think I'd be alright with kids as long as they can be respectful of my desire for personal space at times.

If you are looking for a quiet, kind and handsome pup to join your family, please consider me as an addition. I can't wait to find a family to enjoy my golden years with!

All dogs go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on preventatives and age-appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our application here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. Please do this BEFORE calling.
