Rhea's Story
Rhea is a beautiful girl looking for a foster or furever home. She was born around March 2022. She’s been trained with positive reinforcement techniques, clicker training, and is crate trained.

This active girl loves to play and is so loving even though she came from a background of neglect, abuse and health issues; but has overcome all of it with proper care, socialization and training.

In the beginning of her fostering journey, she was fearful of new people without slow introductions. Now she confidently wants to be your best friend, we still recommend a patient intro but once she knows you- she worships you and loves on you so hard. She just needs to establish trust and a safe boundary first.

Rhea would do best as a solo pet unless you are an experienced dog owner- because she is still learning. Even though she is in a house with another dog and cats, she does not do well with the cat interactions. She does not understand her size and power. Sweet big baby girl.

Rhea's preferred adopter will be someone who can provide consistent structure, open to families with older children (14+) as she is strong and still learning. She is a healthy gal who is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, and microchipped.

Her foster is gifting all her gear to her furever home: crate, blankets, a cot, slow feeding bowls, walking harness and collar.

If you are interested in meeting Rhea, please send a message here or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $195 for a single dog or puppy. When adopting a dog from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, heartworm testing, and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
