Meet Rex!<br/><br/>Rex is a 12-year-old, 36 lb boy who came to the shelter after his owner became too sick to care for him. It's clear he's been loved before and knows exactly what it means to be part of a family. Now, he's hoping to find another one.<br/><br/>This gentleman is house trained, walks beautifully on leash, rides well in the car, and even stands patiently for baths. He's happiest soaking up attention and will gladly back up for a good butt scratch, roll over for belly rubs, or curl up in your lap if you'll let him.<br/><br/>Rex has even spent time hanging out in an office, where he proved to be a quiet, friendly companion. New places can make him a little nervous at first, but once he has a chance to settle in, he's content to relax nearby. He knows sit, loves treats, and prefers a home without cats.<br/><br/>Everyone who meets Rex says the same thing... he certainly doesn't act like a 12-year-old dog. If you're looking for an easygoing companion who still enjoys walks, car rides, and plenty of cuddles, Rex is ready to start his next chapter.<br/><br/>As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members.
