Hey there, I’m Rex! <br/><br/>I’m 11 lbs and 8 years old, but don’t let that number fool you… I’ve got plenty of spunk left in me! I used to live with a sweet lady who I loved very much. When she passed away, my whole world turned upside down, and now I’m looking for a new person to call my own.<br/><br/>I’m house trained (because I’m a gentleman), walk nicely on a leash, and I love going for walks. Seriously, if you grab the leash, I’m ready. I’ve been social with other dogs, even went to doggy daycare, and I’ve lived with a cat before, too. I know how to share my space like a pro.<br/><br/>Now let’s talk about my favorite things: treats and laps. I am VERY food motivated (snacks = happiness), and I am a total lap dog. If you sit down, I will politely assume that’s my invitation to climb up and soak up all the cuddles. Personal space? Never heard of it.<br/><br/>I used to be posted as a bonded pair with my companion, Duke, but after reassessment from sanctuary staff, we can be adopted separately. Sometimes Duke wants to play a little too much for my liking.<br/><br/>I’ve got an energetic, happy personality, and I love being part of whatever you’re doing. But I do prefer a calm, predictable home. Quick movements and lots of chaos make me nervous, so I’d do best in a home without children. I just like knowing what to expect and knowing I’ve got a cozy lap waiting for me.<br/><br/>I am up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.<br/><br/>The cost to adopt is $250 and the adoption process begins with an Adoption Application that is located at: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt<br/><br/>Once your completed application has been reviewed the humans will contact you with questions and/or set an appointment for you to meet me.
