Our Mission

Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, located in Salisbury, NC, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit charitable organization that operates a no-kill sanctuary for homeless and rescued dogs and cats. Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment while working to find them forever homes. FFAS heals the whole animal, physically and emotionally, restoring its health and spirit. We work to engage and educate our local community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal rescues/welfare by participating in community events, engaging schools, and offering camps and volunteer opportunities, with the end result being the best placement and care for our animals.

Many of our animals come from neglectful or abusive backgrounds, and we place them only in safe, responsible homes. General Requirements -Valid ID and current address required. -All adults in the household must consent to the adoption. We look for a history of responsible pet ownership: -All current/past pets up-to-date on Rabies and Distemper (DA2PP for dogs, FVRCP for cats). -Dogs must be on heartworm prevention. -All current/past pets must have a history of annual wellness visits. -Pets must be kept in safe, appropriate housing. Young or First-Time Adopters (ages 21–25): If you haven’t owned a pet in the past 10 years, please include: -Parent/guardian contact information and their vet’s details. -Your plan for vet care (clinic name, vaccines, and preventatives). -A budget for vetting, food, grooming, and other expenses.
