Remy's Story
Meet Remy: Resilient, Radiant, and Ready for the Right Person

Remy is a 3–4-year-old bully girl with a heart as big as her comeback story. Once a discarded, underage-bred mama dog surrendered in terrible condition (emaciated, mange, sick), she’s now thriving in her foster home—healthy, furry, and finally learning what love and safety feel like. She’s sensitive, goofy, and deeply affectionate, with a loyal streak that makes her truly unforgettable.

Remy missed out on structure and human affection in her early years, so she’s still learning the ropes. She’s eager to please and food-motivated, but can be impulsive, especially when meeting new dogs—her excitement can overwhelm her manners. While she’s shown some resource guarding around toys in the past, consistent training and boundaries have helped her coexist peacefully with her calm XL Bully male foster brother and a variety of doggy housemates (both male and female, large and small). She’s crate-trained, highly trainable, and would thrive in a home with space to roam (a large yard would be ideal!) and a person who can match her energy and invest in her continued growth and training.

She’s had a few training sessions and has already overcome a lot. Jumping has nearly vanished, and she’s learning to curb her “eat everything on walks” habit. She’s also a vocal gal who isn’t shy about telling you when she wants something, and has a natural protective instinct that shines when she senses true danger (an immaculate guard dog)—but she’s incredibly friendly with safe, trusted humans.

Remy needs an adult-only home with a confident handler who’s experienced with bully and/or power breeds. She does well with calm, tolerant dogs but would not be a match for small kids or highly reactive pets that would be perturbed by her energetic spirit. She is currently being cat-tested.

The bottom line? Remy isn’t for a first-time dog owner—but for someone patient, committed, and understanding of dogs with rough starts, she’s a hidden gem. She wants nothing more than to belong to someone who believes in her. If you’re looking for a meaningful, life-changing bond with a dog who will love you fiercely in return, and make you laugh with her silly antics, Remy just might be your girl.
