Remi's Story
Meet Remi! At 3 years old and just 6 pounds, he’s a tiny little guy with a surprisingly brave streak.

Remi can be shy at first, especially if someone comes at him too quickly or tries to scoop him up before he’s ready. Give him a little time to make the first move, though, and his sweet, funny personality comes right out. He’s curious about the world and has handled walks, busy streets, new people, the dog park, and even riding around in a bag like a champ.

He loves being around people, but he’s not overly needy. Remi is perfectly happy cuddling on the couch, hanging nearby, or settling in another room for some quiet time. He’s also great with other dogs and really enjoys their company.

Remi is potty trained and crate trained and already does well on walks. He’s still perfecting the whole “walk in a straight line” thing, but we’ll give him a pass since he has a lot of places to sniff and very tiny legs to get him there.

Toys aren’t really his thing, but give him a bully stick, a good walk, or some head and butt scratches and he is in heaven. He loves following his favorite people around and, once he trusts you, is very happy to settle in for bedtime cuddles.

Remi would do best with someone affectionate and patient who understands that the quickest way to his heart is letting him come to you on his own terms. The more comfortable he gets, the more affectionate, silly, and confident he becomes.

His foster says he’s her favorite foster dog she’s ever had and calls him “the sweetest thing in the world.” Remi has a way of quietly winning you over, and then suddenly you realize you’re completely in love with him.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
