Meet Remi! Remi is a larger female beagle at about 35 lbs. Remi gets along well with the other dogs and loves to play with her young foster dog brother. She’s timid at first with larger dogs but warms up quickly. Remi has been doing really well with house training. She only has an accident when there is a major change in her routine or when she gets too nervous. She stays in a crate during the day but sleeps on a pillow next to foster mom at night. Remi loves to be close and snuggly with her people. In typical hound fashion, Remi tries to counter surf but she’s a little short. She will even try to get into the dog food bin if she thinks no one is watching. We did introduce Remi to cats, but she didn’t pay much attention them much other than trying to play. Remi's still a young girl and likes chew toys and to carry off shoes if you leave them laying around. Remi is a good listener though (she may be a broken beagle!), and she wants to please her people, so she doesn't get into too much trouble. She also doesn’t challenge the 6’ fence, but she will jump a baby gate or Dutch door to get to her people. She’s friendly with new people—did well going to TSC and meeting strangers.

No meet and greets will be scheduled without the completion and approval of an adoption application. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family.

HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound. Our amazing adoption coordinators will happily answer any questions you have in regards to the Fi Collar and the dog you are interested in adopting.
