Reggie's Story
This big goober is Reggie. At 3 years old, he hasn’t had the easiest start in life—but through it all, he has remained the sweetest, goofiest, and most gentle pup.

Reggie was found tied to a dog house alongside another dog who, heartbreakingly, had already passed away. The temperatures were freezing, and he was severely malnourished and dehydrated. Since coming into rescue, Reggie has gained a healthy amount of weight—and as his body has grown stronger, so has his confidence and his incredible capacity for love.

Reggie loves the simple things in life: peanut butter, toys, naps on the couch, and the occasional burst of goofy energy. He likely never experienced indoor living before, but he’s eager to learn and even more eager to please. He enjoys going on walks, chewing on bones, and is very food motivated—especially when it comes to treats like cucumber, green beans, apples, and honestly, just about anything you offer him.

He is currently working on potty training and crate training. Reggie does well in his crate, though he may whine a bit when he knows you’re nearby—he just loves being close to his people. He would happily be your shadow all day long. He’s incredibly smart and already knows commands like sit, stay, down, “get back,” and “take it nice.” With routine and consistency, he’ll continue to thrive.

Reggie is doing well learning to give the cats in his foster home space, and he’s a very good boy for bath time and even the blow dryer! He absolutely loves other dogs—whether it’s playtime or just relaxing together, he enjoys having a canine companion.

Because Reggie doesn’t quite realize how big he is, he would do best in a home with older kids. Overall, he’s a sweet, goofy, and deeply loving boy who is finally getting the chance to experience the good things in life. Now, all he needs is a family of his own to share them with.

Reggie is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on vaccines. He’s put on great healthy weight and would do well in just about any loving home.

Adoption App:
https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/40532/generic
