Hey there, it's me, Reese! <br/><br/>I came to MAS with my brother Diesel in December 2025, but wasn't available for adoption right away because I had some big reactions when meeting new people outside my regular handlers. It takes a few meets before I think you're a-okay, and can add you to the circle of trust. I'm also an absolute loy-al-ty machine. I will be your shadow, your protector, and your biggest fan. Need a laugh? I've got a few goofy tricks up my paw to keep things fun. I'm also an excellent listener if you need a shoulder to lean on (or an ear to scratch). They say I am 3 years old, and I am roughly 65lbs.<br/><br/>I'm the type of dog who faces things head-on and will alert you to it too. My athletic prowess knows no bounds! I'm always up for a game or a good ol' fashioned romp around the yard. But don't let my adventurous spirit fool you; I'm also a sucker for affection. Belly rubs, ear scratches, and the occasional treat (or two) are the keys to my heart. So, if you're looking for a devoted, entertaining, and fearless friend, look no further. <br/><br/>I previously lived with other dogs in my old home, but since being at the shelter the staff have noted that I become way too overexcited when I see another doggo friend; especially small dogs. I will bark and jump around, and it takes me a minute to be redirected. Because of this, they say I should probably be the only pet in the home, so I can have all of your attention for myself. I've seen a few cats and small pocket pets here at the shelter too, and I get way too interested in them, so I should also not live with any small pets. I have been working with a trainer for the last few months to work on my reactivity when seeing new people, and I'm definitely a ladies man! I take a little longer to warm up to men, but with a few slow, structured introductions, I will eventually be ok around them. I also pull on leash, and so the staff here have been walking me with a halti.
