Reese's Story

Hi there, I’m Reese!

I’m a 1-year-old, 38-pound female Basenji/Jack Russell mix, currently being fostered in Albion, Michigan. I’m a favorite of everyone at the rescue and my foster family — once you get to know me, it’s easy to see why.

My journey hasn’t been the easiest. I came from a very scary kill shelter down south with my sister, where everything was loud and overwhelming. Because of that, I can be a little shy and apprehensive at first. I like to take my time getting comfortable. But once I know you’re kind and that I’m safe, I turn into the sweetest, most loving girl — and I absolutely love to snuggle.

I do best with other dogs and would really benefit from having a playful, confident canine friend in my forever home. I enjoy being part of a pack and feel more secure with a buddy by my side. I’m playful, gentle, and great with sharing toys and food.

I sleep quietly in my crate at night with no accidents, and I’m fully housebroken. One of my cutest quirks? I love watching TV and will tilt my head back and forth trying to figure out what’s happening — it never fails to make people smile.

A fenced yard would be wonderful, but I’d also be happy with lots of walks and outdoor adventures. I also go great with kids and cats.

I’ll come fully vetted and ready to be your loyal companion for an adoption fee of $200. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate girl who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, I might be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/67967e2de20ac5c1fa09c02c

——-

Do not submit an inquiry through PetFinder!
