Reef's Story

Reef is a lab mix, around 50lbs, who is wildly committed to being everyone's best friend. Humans? His favorite. Kids? Great, more hands for belly rubs. Other dogs? so far, so good!

Reef came to us as a stray with a mysterious (benign) neck mass, that has officially been evicted, and Reef is feeling like a brand new man.

Reef showed off a special talent in his first few days at our shelter: fence jumping (4ft). So his future family should be ready with a tall fence, leash walks, or some very close supervision unless you want him casually exploring the neighborhood.

Energy-wise, Reef is that perfect middle ground. He'll join you for an adventure, but he's also fully prepared to clock in for his second job as a professional couch potato. Reef can often be found on top of his patio crate surveying his surroundings. His true calling, however, is belly rub acquisition.

Reef is ready to live his best life looking handsome, collecting snacks, and aggressively loving every human he meets.

To meet Reef, please apply at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/
