His perfect day includes a nice walk, some quality time with his trusty ball, a peanut butter treat (or two), and a cozy spot to stretch out afterward.<br/><br/>Red is potty trained and already knows "sit," "lay down," and "outside," proving that you really can teach an old dog new tricks... or at least appreciate the ones he already knows! He's polite, smart, and happiest when he's spending time with his people.<br/><br/>Now Red is searching for a soft landing—a family where he can enjoy his retirement years filled with love, leisurely adventures, belly rubs, and plenty of peanut butter rewards. If you've been looking for a loyal best friend who's past the puppy stage but still has plenty of love to give, Red is ready to make your house his forever home.<br/><br/><br/>Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!<br/><br/>Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.<br/><br/>Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
