Recon's Story

Recon is a handsome Shepherd-looking puppy with beautiful tan coloring that almost fades into sable.

He is a little bit of a goofball and loves to have fun. Recon enjoys playing with his siblings and is especially fond of chasing balls. He is a sweet, playful boy who is happiest when there is something fun happening around him.

Recon and his six siblings were rescued in mid-July after being found abandoned off Rockwell Road with their mama, Raven. The puppies were estimated to be only 7–8 weeks old when they were found and are now around 15 weeks old.

Recon appears to be a Shepherd/Lab-type mix, although his exact breed makeup is unknown. His mama, Raven, appears to be a German Shepherd mix with a unique scruffy coat.

He has been raised around other dogs, cats and children and has done well with all of them. He has had lots of opportunities to play, socialize and experience the sights and sounds of a home environment.

Recon is currently finishing up his veterinary care and is expected to be ready for his forever home in mid to late September.

Before going home, Recon will be neutered, receive his 4th DHPP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, be microchipped and cleared for adoption by his veterinarian. Potential adopter must provide basic care for the life of the animal. An adoption contract must be thoroughly read, completed, and signed by the adopter before the adoption is complete. The adoption process could range anywhere from a few hours, up to a week. We do NOT hold dogs/puppies.
