WEEKEND ADOPTION EVENTS:
We'll have several wonderful dogs looking for homes at both events!
SATURDAY, FEB. 24 from 12-3PM: Dog Adoption Event at OLATHE PetSmart at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society.
SATURDAY, FEB. 24 from 12-3PM: Dog & Cat Adoption Event at MERRIAM PetSmart at 5810 Antioch Rd
WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS:
SATURDAY, FEB. 24: CLOSED (visit our adoption events to meet our dogs!)
SUNDAY, FEB. 25: OPEN 10AM-3PM— NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!
REBECCA is a darling German Shepherd mix puppy! She is 9 weeks old. She's a sweet, friendly, playful puppy. She and her litter mates were in a foster home and now they are ready for adoption!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
FOSTERING
Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
