Reba's Story

Meet Reba

Reba is a 4–5 year old, 50 lb bully/Frenchie/bulldog mix with a heart made for people. If you're looking for a dog who will love your whole family unconditionally, she's it — adults, kids, and babies are all treated to the same sweet, gentle affection. She's a total snuggle bug who will happily let anyone pet her.

Why she's a dream:

• Rock solid with all humans of every age
• House-trained with zero accidents, walks nicely on leash
• Knows sit, down, bed, leave it, and stay
• Handles loud noises without issue
• Great home-alone behavior — no counter surfing, no plate surfing, no whining or begging (just watch your Crocs; she finds them irresistibly squishy!)
• Not food or toy aggressive — you can take anything right out of her mouth
• Loves stuffies and dental chews (not into balls)
• Sleeps through the night, one last potty break in the evening and she's out until 7-8am
• Takes treats gently and is easy to handle all around

She's not a fan of water or baths (though she'll cooperate and let you wash her), and rain can make her a little nervous — but honestly, that's the biggest "flaw" on the list.

What she needs from you:
Reba was fostered alongside 10 other dogs and did great for a while, but has since become dog-reactive on leash when she spots other dogs out on walks. She'll need an adopter who can commit to some training and management around other dogs — a patient, experienced hand (or someone willing to work with a trainer) will make a big difference here.

Reba's people-loving nature and easygoing house manners make her a wonderful companion — she just needs the right person to help her feel safe around other dogs again.

If you’re interested in meeting this amazing little squishy girl please fill out an adoption application on our website www.pitsrus.org
