Welcome Really Willy to Lucky Dog Small Breed Rescue!!! Really is 2yr old Chinese Crested/maltese mix that is as handsome as he is friendly! He just transferred to us from Critter Junction Pet Rescue Fond du Lac where he was a foster pup for the last few weeks while he received his vet care. Really Willy was originally found as a stray by a kind person in Fond du lac that wanted to make sure Really Willy got the help he needed. Upon exam at Wright Vet Clinic we discovered Really Willy is blind, likely from a combination of poor genetics and even worse breeding. There is nothing that can be done for his eyes medically. This is the life he knows and he gets around perfectly well. He is very quick to map out his surroundings and you wouldn’t even know he was blind! When he first arrived in Rescue he did have some separation anxiety because he didn’t know how to be alone. His foster mom did a great job working with him and teaching him his people will come back. He has made huge strides and is much more comfortable being in his crate, housetraining and with his separation anxiety. Really Willy does will with other dogs, cats and children. He could be a trip hazard for elderly people as does get underfoot often. His adoption fee includes all new updates vaccinations, microchipping, neuter, 4dx test, flea/tick prevention, full exam, collar, harness, leash and winter coat.
