She came to us from a Wisconsin breeding farm and, while life may not have always been kind to her, she's remained incredibly sweet and resilient. Rea is a little shy at first but enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. Now she's ready to leave her past behind and find a loving forever home where she can truly blossom into the happy, cherished companion she was always meant to be.

Please see our Resources page and the breeder release article to find out more information on what to expect when adopting a breeder release dog.

FOSTER UPDATE: Rea is 8 Pounds of Sweetness, Sass & Snuggles!

Meet Rea, a 6-year-old, 8-pound Poodle who is proof that the best things really do come in small packages! Rea is sweet, affectionate, outgoing, and just plain fun. She loves people, loves dogs, loves adventures, and loves a good couch nap.

And here’s the really great stuff: Rea has been quiet as a mouse in her foster home so far. No barking! She’s also a pretty good little listener—she comes when called and understands “no.” She has discovered that she does have a favorite treat (and she is very happy about it!) and she also loves a good chew stick.

Rea had a little adventure up north and had the BEST time exploring a new house and yard. In fact, she had so much fun that she was pretty sure coming back inside was completely unnecessary.

She continues to be the sweetest little dog. She comes when called, sleeps quietly in her crate ALL night, and is always happy to be scooped up for some cuddles or curl up in a lap for a good nap.

But Rea is not just a professional cuddler! She loves exploring, going for walks and runs, and having fun at the dog park. Although, she still seems to think the humans at the dog park are much more interesting than the dogs. Everyone needs to be greeted, obviously.

And every once in a while, this little 8-pound girl gets a serious case of the zoomies!

Rea also had surgery a little over a week ago to remove a toe, and she bounced back SO quickly. She’s walking, running, jumping, playing, and generally acting like nothing ever happened.

She really is such a fun little combination of cuddly lap dog and tiny adventurer. She’s sweet, happy, quiet, affectionate, and just loves being wherever her people are.

She seems to be camera shy and is hard to corral for pictures of her looking like her cute self . Rest assured she IS the most adorable

Rea recently had a toe remove because of an area that was not healing. The biopsy revealed a keratoacanthoma from the nail bed. The margins were clear and no further treatment is needed. The pathology report can be provided to any potential adopters.

Learn more about Rea on her Facebook Page: A Hound's Way Home

ADOPTION FEE: $650

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION at fluffydog.net

Adopters must be 24 years of age.
