Ray's Story

I AM BLIND..
Meet Ray: A Special Soul Seeking a Patient Heart 🐾
Status: In Foster Care (Not yet available, but accepting inquiries)
Special Needs: Blind, strict dietary requirements, sensory sensitivities.
They say love is blind, and in Ray’s case, it’s the truth. This resilient French Bulldog puppy is currently navigating the world in the dark, and while he’s small, his journey is mighty.
His Story:
Ray is currently in "puppy boot camp" with a professional dog trainer. Because he cannot see, the world can be a scary place. When he’s startled by a sudden touch or a new smell, he can "freak out"—not out of "meanness," but out of a need for safety.
The Good Stuff:
Once he knows he’s safe and has adjusted to his environment, his true personality shines. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and thrives on routine. Seeing him finally relax and lean into a familiar hand is the most rewarding feeling in the world.
What He Needs:
A "Zen" Home: He needs a calm, predictable environment without a lot of foot traffic or chaos.
The "Special" in Special Diet: He requires a strict, specific diet to keep him healthy (details can be discussed with serious applicants).
The Ultimate Patient Adopter: His forever human needs to be someone who understands canine body language and won't rush him. You’ll need to learn "his" language before he can learn yours.
Commitment to Training: His new family must be willing to continue the touch-sensitivity and spatial awareness work started by his foster trainer.
Ray isn't ready to move out just yet, but he is looking for someone willing to wait for him. If you have the patience of a saint and a heart for the underdogs, you might be exactly who he’s looking for.

We start with an application, we then review it and have a conversation if I have questions or concerns. We talk about their living situation and ask for pictures of their home and yard (if any doubts we then schedule a home visit). Then we do a meet and greet to see if they and the puppy are a good fit, then we complete an adoption contract and collect the adoption fee. Our pups only go to their new homes after they have been sterilized.
