Ranger's Story
Meet Ranger

Ranger is currently in Williamsburg, VA.

Ranger is a handsome 5 1/2-year-old red bi Australian Shepherd with a nub tail, a beautiful coat, and a wonderfully steady personality. At about 38 pounds, he is a lovely medium-sized Aussie: healthy, well cared for, deeply loved, and clearly used to being part of someone's life. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Ranger is the kind of dog who makes a great first impression. He is friendly and happy to meet new people, but he does so with good manners rather than overwhelming enthusiasm. He enjoys attention and affection, and he was comfortable being gently handled on his belly, ears, head, back, and feet. He also showed no concerns around food, calmly allowing his bowl to be removed and returned.

This sweet boy has excellent manners and a nice foundation of training. He walks beautifully on leash, does not pull, and knows sit, shake, and several other commands, including hand signals. A new family may need to help him adjust to slightly different cues, but Ranger is smart, attentive, and very eager to connect with his person.

Ranger also loves meeting other Aussies. He was happy to interact, run around bit, and then settle calmly nearby. He shows no signs of aggression and enjoys having respectful dog friends, though he would also likely be very content as someone's devoted companion.

Ranger would be a wonderful match for an active single person or active couple looking for a loyal, affectionate Aussie to share everyday life with. He loves working is Aussie mind. He is engaged and intelligent. Ranger would enjoy continued obedience work, fun activities, regular exercise, and being included in daily routines. Because Ranger is an Aussie who will benefit from room to safely move and play, a fenced yard is required.
Ranger is a truly special Aussie: handsome, sweet, polite, and ready to bond deeply with the right home.

If you are an approved ARMA adopter, please contact the volunteer with whom you have been working. If you would like to apply to adopt through ARMA, our application can be found on our website.
