Ranger's Story

We're not saying he's a cliché, but if you know Shepherds, you know a lot about Ranger! He is a super smart boy who likes to have a job to do. He'll keep himself occupied if you don't. But if you are a "shepherd person" looking for a buddy for chores, games, or even sports, Ranger is looking for you. He has received professional training and proven himself to be treat motivated and a fast learner ready to try new things. He's solid on his basic commands and hoping for bigger and better challenges. He also loves squeaky balls. Because he is very selective about dog friends, it is best he live in an only-pet home.

***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS***

~ Est DOB: Nov 2018
~ Intake weight: 55#
~ Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html

The Animal Shelter - Calhoun County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
We are open by appointment. Please inquire before visiting the shelter to make the right match. Please only bring small children after narrowing the field to a few dogs you want to meet in the outdoor play yard. An approved application is required and most dogs will need a fenced yard. Tethering, chaining, and roaming are unacceptable. All animals are vaccinated and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped (dogs) prior to leaving the shelter. This is a real bargain, as our adoption fee of $125 for dogs and $75 for cats is much lower than the average vetting bill!
