Randolph's Story
Meet Randolph - this adorable boy was found in one of the worst living conditions we've seen... outside, with lots of other dogs, no shelter, trash everywhere... being picked on by the bigger dogs... at only 4 mos old. Luckily a good Samaritan was able to get him released to then and he found his way to one of our local shelters. He was filthy, covered in scabs and underweight with a slightly odd gait to his walk. But with a nice long bath, some coconut oil/sunflower salve and good food, he's made such an improvement. And even after a terrible start to life, he is the sweetest boy ever. He is the definition of a velcro dog! He follows his foster mom everywhere... sits at her feet or preferably next to her lap and just loves some nice belly rubs or ear scratches. Given how and where he started his life, we are still working on house training but he's doing well. He has a case of Happy Pee which after discussion with the vet (below), it is expected he will grow out of that and possibly improve significantly once neutered later in October.

He visited an orthopedic specialist who noted a slight compression in one spot on his vertebrae but noted it was not anything of concern. He just needs to strengthen his rear muscles. So, he now eats with a raised bowl on steps (or on the step up from the living room) and his front legs up on the first step to get some extra work in to build those back muscles.

Randolph is about 5 mos old now (Est DOB 5/12/2025), 27lbs and is being fostered in West Deptford NJ.
