Ranch's Story

Ranch is relaxing in a foster home! Please submit an application from our website or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to see if you're a match!

Ranch came to us with his momma, Ensalada, and his 7 siblings from Texas in mid- April at just 3 weeks old. Ensalada and her pups arrived in rough shape, they were flea infested and anemic. Thankfully, they recovered in no time and are now healthy and ready to find their forever homes!

Ranch is one happy pup that is just here to have a good time! Ranch is happy with whatever he is doing. Whether it is playing with his siblings, cuddling with a human, playing with a toy or puzzle, he is having a good time and soaking it all in!

Ranch has been living in a foster home the last few weeks to learn the ropes of home life and he is doing excellent! He is on his way to mastering crate training and house breaking, he is figuring out walks, and he even has a fan club of kids (age 3-9) that love to play with him every day! Here is what his foster mom shares about him.

"Ranch is an absolute hoot! Whether he's running around outside testing the limits of puppy speed or cuddling close to his people, this pup brings love and laughter. Ranch is eager to please people and other dogs alike, always wanting to make new friends and be involved in learning the ropes of dog life. He is most motivated by chew toys and treats, and he has an absolutely adorable "sit." His ears constantly flop around and you can't help but fall in love with this goofball."

If you are looking for an all around VGB (very good boy) Ranch is your dude and we hope you will make and appointment to meet him today!

Ranch's adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.

They will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.

Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
