Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter and a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We depend on your donations in order to rescue more pets from ill fate as well as care for our current pets. Adoption fees are based on vaccinations, medications, microchips, and procedures such as the spaying and neutering of rescued pets. We can only help our current and future pets when additional donations are made. As a private shelter, Heartland operates with income provided by adoption fees and donations from the public. We receive no government funding.
Heartland's mission is to provide care, humane treatment, and adoption for dogs and cats in need through community outreach, progressive programs, and partnership collaboration.
Heartland's vision is to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia for every adoptable dog and cat within our community and for all our shelter and recue partners.
-View the general public, staff members, and volunteers as partners in improving the lives of the dogs and cats in our care and supporting our mission

-Ensure that we help the dogs and cats which have no other opportunity for a live outcome
