Rambo's Story

Meet Rambo! He is a unique mix!
He has the long body short legs like a doxie with the curly tale but has some type of bully breed mixed it.
He loves car rides, going to dog friendly restaurants and just playing fetch in the house. He is crate trained, house broken, up to date on vaccines and an affectionate little dude. He ignores cats but is only good with large dogs. He was traumatized at the shelter by little dogs. His girlfriend was an 80lb pitbull before she was adopted. His play style is very playful so his ideal home would be with a female pitbull, lab, or shepherd mix. He can go to a home with no other dogs but does not do well in busy downtown areas such as Venice. He would be a great ESA dog as well.

Healing Hounds Rescue's Adoption Policy
I have them fill out my foster/adoption contract and after receiving I call to vet them and understand their abilities and the type of dog they would like. We have a good hour long convo of everything from slow introductions, training, positive reinforcement, needs of the dog, and the adopters expectations. I either do a home check or ask for pictures of where the dog would be staying, sleeping, eating. Then we plan a meet and greet with adopter and adopters other animals or family members to see how the dog reacts. I want to set up my rescues for success and make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
