Rambo's Story

Hey there, I'm Rambo! Like my namesake, I'm a man of action! I love to play and chase balls, chew soft toys and spend time outside. Unlike the Rambo from the movie, however, I'm looking for an easy retirement full of patches of sun, sleepy afternoons, and a plenty of play time. Once I get my wiggles out, I'm a snugglebug, and I would love to spend my time cuddling up with you on the couch for a movie, or maybe even hogging the covers in bed! My stomach is definitely the way to my heart, and if you have snacks, you may just become my new best friend. I'm not just a big beefy love-bug, I'm also pretty smart- I love to do a puzzle toy or a snuffle mat. My perfect family is one who will love to play hard, snuggle hard, and rest hard! I am 7 years young, and have potential with kids 12+, and other dogs but no kitty cats please. Please ask my friends at the shelter about my medial needs! Current Hours of Operation Sunday & Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: APPOINTMENT ONLY Open to Public: Wednesday - Friday: 11am – 5pm Saturday: 11am – 4pm Our website is best to view our most updated information on available pets. www.cherrylandhumane.org Important info to help you on your journey: - Applications must be submitted prior to adoption and will take 24-48 hours to process and approve. - We do not perform same day adoptions. - CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all. - Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card. - We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships. - To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required. - Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only. - Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families. CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when: - A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. - Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.) - Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.
